FB author notes: This is the area of my author page on Facebook where I share notes about newsletters, events taking place in the world of Songdove Books, progress on books, etc.
Goodreads blog posts: This site is a great site for readers to discover new books to read, leave reviews of books they’ve read, and share in community with other like-minded readers via various groups that exist.
LinkedIn blog posts: The social network for professionals now has a way to create notes as well. Here users can network online with other like-minded professionals to assist them or themselves in getting better employment or get the needed assistance for a project they are participating in.
Inkbok blog posts: This site used to offer both paid and free library features, but now only hosts a free online reading library. Songdove Books maintains a plain-text blog here, so links to outside sources will be text-only on the day this blog stop occurs.
Createspace blog posts: Createspace is the print-on-demand publisher that Songdove Books went through for all paperbacks to date. The community area offers authors forums where they can ask questions, build a profile and create blog posts that are viewable to the public as well as to Createspace members.
Wattpad: This site is for budding authors for the most part, but I have a presence there, sharing newsletters, progress on the creation of books, etc.
Book club Network blog posts: Every author needs to learn how to market and promote their books, even Christian authors. This site exists to help Christian authors learn how to get word out about their books, as well as provide a place for Christian readers to discover new authors.
Corine Hyman’s blog: Books by Corine has graciously stepped in to offer the 12th online blog stop for this discount tour. Corine writes books that help both children and adults work through common issues that they face. Be sure to check out the rest of her blog when we come to her stop on tour.
Chapters.ca blog posts: While most online retailers don’t have profiles for authors or readers, Chapters.ca in Canada offers community profiles that do more than simply list books. Chapters profiles can also join groups, create blog posts, and more.
BookLikes – blog posts: This is another site where readers can share with the world what they are reading, and where authors can connect with their readers, using the blog-like layout of the site to write reviews, make announcements and more.
Authors Den – blog posts: This site has free and paid options for authors, but the blog and profile of each author is public to non-members. Authors can list their books and alert other community members of what is happening.
Book Marketing club blog posts: A much broader effort at helping any author in general with getting word out about their book, this is a social network for authors with each author having a public profile where they can post video book trailers, images, blog posts and more.
Songdove Books can be found at more online locations than these, but these are the places where I can share with you more detail about each stop on tour. Follow the slideshare links at the end of every slideshow to head to the next blog stop each day from December 1st to December 12th. The blog links given in this post may not be in the order in which they will appear on tour. I look forward to seeing you at each of these locations over the coming 12 days of Christmas.
