A group on MeWe that won’t let me post half the time, has people in it who not only accepted the vaccine, but are apparently sick and tired of hearing warnings about it that the admins allow others to post.
The problem I see however, is that while others do post warnings about the vaccine, they often fail to include methods of staying healthy and ways to mitigate being around those who took it. If all you’re going to do is throw out hand-wringing terrible news without including ways to protect yourself or mitigate or even reverse the warning, then it’s wise not to speak up. People get tired of nothing but doom and gloom and seemingly no way out of it.
In Scripture, God’s warnings always came alongside the ways His people could either avert the warning, prepare for the warning, live through the warning, or what would await them if they made it through the warning staying true to Him in spite of the difficulty. As believers, we must follow the same outline. If there are ways to avert the warning, state them. If there are ways to mitigate the warning, state them. If there are ways to prepare for the warning, state them. If they can push through the warning and there are positives waiting on the other side, state them. Not stating these things only feeds the fear-mongering out there and debilitating fear is not of God. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind!
How do we stay sound of mind and continue to operate in God’s power?
A) We spend time in God’s Word.
B) Spend time in prayer.
C) Ask ourselves and ask God, what we should be doing about what we are observing around us.
D) Observe what is going on around us with an eye to our role as believers and what is needed for us to maintain viability for that role.
E) Based on what God reveals to us about what is going on around us, and based on the ideas He brings across our paths, we formulate a course of action to avert, mitigate, prepare for, or pass through what is coming. Then lastly
F) We act on that course of action and encourage others to act on it too.
The loving thing to do is to warn and then to offer ideas, assistance and instruction to deal with the warning. Do not feed others’ fears of what is going on around us. Scripture says in Psalm 91 that we are not to fear the arrow that flies, nor the pestilence that walks at noon day, that those who hope in the Lord will watch and see a 1000 fall at their side and 10,000 at their right hand, but it ( the warning ) won’t come nigh them. Why? Because of where they took shelter!
Pestilence is rising!
Verbal arrows are flying all around us now!
People are dying all around us from mishandling of the so-called pandemic to drug overdoses to abortion to euthanasia, to terrorism to governments shooting their own citizens, to suicides, you name it! Our hope is not in the world around us. Our hope is not in governments to save us. Our hope is not in doctors to save us. Our hope is in Christ alone and He reminds us that this world is not our home and that many of us will die at the hands of those who hate us.
Rest assured however. God decides when you will and won’t die! If He decides it will be at the hands of your government, a terrorist, or a doctor, then the job He gave you to do will have been completed whether you realized it or not. I’ve also seen God take people home because what was coming they couldn’t handle, so He took them home. Some of these people thought they could handle what was coming, but God knew better.
If you are to live to see the Rapture, God will give the necessary knowledge and means to carry it out. If you don’t act on that knowledge and/or misuse the means He gives you, that is no longer in God’s court and you could send yourself home earlier than God originally designed. He will have to assign the remainder of the job he gave you, to someone else.
So this is an exhortation to anyone tempted to share the latest news and discoveries with others and “just leave it there”. Just leaving it there is having negative effects on those who are reading/listening. Just leaving it there is turning people away from you, and potentially away from the God you serve. People need hope. People need to see a light at the end of the tunnel somehow, someway, somewhere.
If all you can offer is a glimmer off a rain puddle, offer it! That puddle was caused by rain that God sent for their refreshment and rejuvenation. If that light belongs to a train coming down the track, then for the moment it can illuminate the next task till you all have to jump off the tracks to get out of it’s way. But don’t forget to warn them to jump off those tracks soon enough to avoid the train and let it pass. If that light belongs to a star, urge them to look to the One who made that star. Above creation however, Jesus Christ is our North Star to guide our way. The biggest light you can shine for others is the Word of God and the wisdom it brings to our current situation. Failure to shine this light when warning others will be the most damaging. Failure to shine a light period, is causing bitterness against those who think they are merely informing. If you’re going to speak up, speak up following God’s patterns given to you in Scripture. Others may still not like it, but what they do with the info will now be on their hands instead of yours.
Some Scriptures to end off with:
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Psalms 91:1-16
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.Ezekiel 33:1-11
1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
